SPRING FESTIVAL 2026

🐝WHAT: Wild Earth Backyard Bash

⌚WHEN: Saturday, April 25th, 2026

🌲WHERE: 6300 Cochran Mill Rd, Chattahoochee Hills, GA, 30263

💲ADMISSION: $6 per person (Free for 2yrs and under)

🚘PARKING: Off the road parking with a walk to the entrance (we have a tractor ride on our property). Let our attendants know if you need accessible parking.

🎶 VIBE: A spring festival that mixes art and wildlife. We will have an arts and craft fair as well as wildlife encounters throughout the day along with many outdoor, artsy, and science-y activities. Family-friendly and open to all. It’s choose-your-own adventure so come anytime. There is fun for all ages–there are activities for children and adults alike!

🎨 THINGS TO DO: Admission includes arts and crafts, canoes, hiking trails, live animal encounters and talks throughout the day, scientist and artist booths, nature areas, and more. Additional funds may be used to purchase items from our gift shop or the local vendors.

🥪 FOOD: All-day with PONKO Chicken (See Menu Below)
We have various eating areas including a picnic pavilion, campfire area, nature area benches, tables and chairs, wrap-around porch, and hike-able spots where you can picnic if you so choose!

🌼NATIVE PLANT-SALE
All-day with the Georgia Native Plant Society. Come any time, and you are welcome to bring your wagons and boxes to stock up. You can let our attendants know if you need to swing to the front with your car to load up.

Craft-table and Community Mural: All-day for all-ages

Artist Booths: 9bandedcreative, Field Guide To Embroidery w/Jessica Kemper, Wildlings and Endlings w/Chantelle Chapman, Photography w/Harriet B. Harris

Crochet items by Yarn Okra (Locally-made by a BCNC Naturalist; 100% natural fibers; 50% of all proceeds go to BCNC)

Silent Auction all-day until 3:30pm (100% proceeds go to BCNC’s environmental education efforts)

🦇ARE THERE LIVE ANIMALS? Yes! We have resident rescued wild and exotic animals of all kinds. Our spring festival highlights will feature birds of prey (including our resident great horned owl), pollinators and their broader ecosystems (which includes our resident native and nonnative bats). We also have a wide variety of reptiles, amphibians, and arthropods to meet.


🐢HOW TO PREP FOR THE DAY: Come dressed comfortably with good shoes for outdoor activities. We have spaces inside and outside in the shade to chill. Stay fueled up with food trucks, but you can also bring your own picnic. Some stay for 3+ hours and make a day of it; there’s so much to do! We have accessible pathways.

🍂CAN’T MAKE IT? Our animals reside with us year-round. Come visit us anytime we are open Tues-Sat from 11am-4pm. We have two more big festivals this year: REPTILE RALLY on June 27t) and a BAT FEST on Sept 12th and smaller opportunities for fun programs in between.

OVERFLOW PARKING INSTRUCTIONS
🦅 Park in the main lot of Chattahoochee Hills Charter School (by the big yellow two-story building)
🚜 Walk toward the CHCS Hillside Farm and follow the gravel road to the trail behind the main building.
🐻 Bear *straight* on the trail until you get to a sign that indicates to bear right and you will enter the center by the bird compound
🪴 Check in the main entrance at the gift shop to get your wristbands and HAVE FUN!

Note: This trail is not accessible to wheels.
If you are in need of additional accessibility, or for pick up and drop off, please inform our attendants at the main gate.
